Introduction

The Utopi Partner API is designed for use by approved external partners who wish to build their own applications or services using Utopi data. It provides secure access to a subset of Utopi features, specifically focused on delivering environmental and utility consumption information for the spaces relevant to an individual end user (such as a resident's room or apartment).

What You Can Do​

This API enables integration partners to:

  • Retrieve real-time and historical data on room conditions and consumption
  • Present insights such as temperature, humidity, COâ‚‚ levels, electricity use and water use in resident-facing platforms
  • Enhance digital experiences with personalised, data-driven content
  • Support sustainability, wellbeing and comfort goals through meaningful visualisation and engagement

The API is RESTful, JSON-based, and accessed over HTTPS. It requires valid credentials for authentication and is available in both sandbox and production environments.

Getting Started​

  1. Request your API credentials from Utopi through our onboarding process
  2. Make a test request using your sandbox credentials
  3. Review the available endpoints and data model
  4. Refer to the glossary if any terms are unclear
